J.T. Yancy earned his Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance from theUniversity of Montana in 2016, followed by his Master’s degree in Athletic Training in 2018.
J.T.’s professional background includes work in the military, Department of Defense, tactical, and public safety settings. Through this work, he developed a passion for the treatment of individuals who had sustained traumatic brain injuries. This interest led him to establish foundational research through the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), examininghow traumatic brain injuries affect military personnel performance and deployment readiness.
Since joining TBI Diagnostic Center, J.T. has utilized a collaborative, evidence-informed, and individualized approach to rehabilitation. He places strong emphasis on holistic health dynamics throughout the recovery process, guiding patients by addressing the interconnected aspects of mind, body, and spirit as they relate to emotional, physical, and cognitive healing. In addition to direct patient care, J.T. contributes to program development, supporting future initiatives designed to meet the dynamic needs of patients, community partners, and referring providers.
J.T. maintains active licensure in Washington, Oregon, and Montana. He is based at the Vancouver Clinic and is available to see patients both in person and via telehealth.
Outside of the clinic, J.T. enjoys building custom chopper motorcycles, supporting a drag bike racing team, and spending time with his wife and son.
